Chapter 9 is finally heading into MEAP! Work on chapter 10 – the final chapter! – resumes.

The end being in sight means I have to think more about marketing the book. An early conversation with Manning made me realize I'm playing the game wrong. Or, more accurately, not playing it at all. I have this blog and, well, that's about it. No social media presence. Manning will obviously do the heavy lifting, but their marketing person seemed disappointed when I answered "no" to every "are you on this platform?" question.

I hate walled gardens. So, I think I'm going to try this Publish (on your) Own Site, Syndicate Elsewhere thing. I signed up for X. I haven't used social media in so long I feel like confused old man. I literally googled "are hashtags still a thing?" Do people post on Facebook? What would a programmer put on Instagram? Pictures of me programming?! Ahh!
